PERRY

PATINNO

It’s always been said that Perry knew how to drive before he would walk. Growing up at the track watching his father race, it was only a matter of time before Perry got behind the wheel.

Perry began his racing career at Montgomery Motor Speedway when he was just 11 years old. He began in a buzz car and eventual moving into the street stock division. From there, he transitioned into a late model sportsman and now competes behind the wheel of his pro late model.

Ever since he began racing, Perry has adapted quickly and has always been interesting in learning anything and everything he can. Perry’s had the opportunity to work with some of the industry greats including Augie Grill, Mike Garvey, David Ray, Ricky Barber and Dave Mader, each of whom have helped him throughout his career in various ways.

During the 2019 race season, Perry competed full time at Montgomery Motor Speedway in the Late Model Sportsman class, where he brought home 5-wins and 2 other podium finished in his 7 starts. He was crowned the 2019 LMS Track Champion. Perry also competed in the Show Me The Money Series and Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series though-out the season, gaining valuable track time and showing great speed throughout the year, including leading many laps and securing his first career fast qualifier pole award.

In October 2019, Perry became one step closer to his goal of being able to race un the NASCAR banner. It was announced that Perry was selected as a finalist for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. After the evaluation process in Daytona Beach FL., Perry was selected to be part of the Class of 2020 with Rev Racing.

“I’m beyond excited for this opportunity. I’ve been applying to be a part of this program since I was 16-years old and it feels surreal to be chosen to be a part of it” - Perry Patino

Moving into the 2020 race season, Perry will compete with Rev Racing in the #51 Late Model Stock in various races across the Carolina’s as well as compete in the Southern States behind the wheel of his Pro Late Model.
